So My first official blog here, had one on myspace but never seemed to remember to write about the things I wanted to. After spending way too much time online researching the practice of engraving lettering, I found the book I wanted. Art alphabets and Lettering is apparently the quintessential book to have for such a practice, and as such, is no longer in print, and no one has one for sale.
Well, I found a single copy on Alibris for 125.00 but it's beat up. A nice copy, I am told, goes for about 300 on ebay. so I went to the web page for the last group to have published it, and there on their website, they still make them by hand to order (spiral bound and photocopied) for 20 bucks plus 10 shipping. why isnt this information listed anywhere? Oh well, guess I'll be ordering it that way. I just want the content, I'm not so terribly impermeated with the need to collect all things rare.
